Elizabeth Gillies is a singer, songwriter, and an actress from the U.S. She is popularly known as Lucy on her role on the Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious and Jade West for the musical 13. Her first appearance was in commercials. The Black Donnellys (2007) marked her first television role. In the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious in which she was Jade West between 2010 and 2013. She appeared in a variety of movies in her early years as an actor, including Babel (2006) The Strange Button (2008), The Curious Button (2008) as well as Phoebe in Wonderland (2008). The performance she made in Sofia Coppola's Somewhere earned her a Critics Choice Movie Awards nomination for Best New Performer in 2010. She attracted recognition in 2011 for her lead part in the sci-fi thriller Super 8 which earned her a Spotlight Award at the Hollywood Film Festival for the thriller. The role she played was the main one as the titular character We Bought a Zoo, Ginger & Rosa and Maleficent.
